Irish Step Dancing

Open your child’s eyes and heart to Ireland’s traditional dances. This program is designed to introduce each dancer to the basic steps of Irish dance and the traditional music used for these steps. Students work to develop concentration skills, coordination and self-confidence that serve them well in all facets of life. Dancers begin learning the basic promenade step and touch on the traditional Irish Jig. Class attire includes: T-shirts, shorts, socks and Irish, jazz or ballet or light gym shoes. Leotards with shorts over them are acceptable. No long pants of any kind.

Down Under The Sea Cartoon  Drawing Camp

What a great opportunity to draw original Young Rembrandt’s fish characters! Our fish characters will consist of sharks, jelly fish, octopus, and others. We will give our fish characters expressions and will place them in fun, action scenes. On our final day, we will draw a large scene of the coral reef environment, inviting a great opportunity to use a variety of colors and textures. Our creative juices will flow as we develop new and fun characters. Pencils, markers and Sharpies will be used.

Guitar – Beginner

Beginning guitar is for students who want to learn but have no previous experience. Also for near-beginners who want to learn how to read music. Students will learn guitar basics such as open position chords, basic strumming patterns, picking techniques and reading music. Special emphasis is given to posture, comfortable and efficient hand positions, avoiding bad habits, and learning the fundamentals of good musicianship, all while having fun! Hand sewing for beginners and those wanting to improve their skills. Create robots that rock and robots that roll! Using the LEGO WeDo Robotics System your robots will include a monkey who plays a drum to a rock & roll beat; a lion that roars; a bird that flaps its wings to create a big wind; a sleeping giant who awakens on your command; and a boat that will rock on the rough seas.
